Art Center's Community Art Project at Ogden Arts Festival 2006

Volunteer Opportunities: The Eccles Community Art Center welcomes your interest in our volunteer opportunities.  Volunteers are supervised by art center staff and by the center's Curator of Education.

Docent Program: Docents of the Art Center are volunteers who are trained to conduct tours of the historic home, current exhibits on display, and take outreach programs into local elementary schools and senior centers.

    Qualifications: If you enjoy learning and sharing your knowledge with others, all that is needed to become a docent is interest, enthusiasm, and commitment to our program.

    Training: Docents attend training sessions given by the Art Center staff and other professionals in the state.

Carriage House Sales Gallery Assistant: These volunteers staff the Art Center's sales gallery/gift shop in a relax, lovely setting.

    Qualifications: If you enjoy visiting with people, handling simple sales and sitting surrounded by art, all that is need is a commitment to a 4 hour shift once a month.

    Training: Volunteer are trained by a member of the Art Center's staff.

Call for Theater Personnel: Experienced and/or talented amateur actors of various ages, directors, technical staff, stage hands, and playwrights are needed on a volunteer basis. To be on a calling list, submit name, address, phone number, a statement of interest, and a resume of experience. Actors should include a physical description and/or current photograph.
