MAY 2017 EXHIBITION:  The two and three dimensional art work by artists John Huerta, Jr, Michael Nickle and Jason Millward will be exhibited  in the Main Gallery at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden during May 2017.   The Carriage House Gallery will feature the work of an artist born in the Dominican Republic, Guillermo Casado. A reception is scheduled in association with Ogden’s Art Stroll on Friday, May 5, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m.   The work  will remain on display through May 27, 2017.

Michael Nickles explains " The show will consist of primarily oils, themed on the energies of real life experience and created in the Romantic Realistic tradition with a added touch of Impressionism.  The body o work will include a variety of subjects: Figurative, landscapes, portraits and still life.  All will be represented within a cohesive, constant and exhilarating use of technique, passion and creativity."

"My primary subject is the landscape of the West"  John Huerta states "My passion for the landscape comes from working on location, observing firsthand the subtleties of light and texture.  My goal as an artist is to give the viewer a glimpse of a transient moment in time, indicating rather than explaining.  I enjoy leaving just enough visual information so that the viewer participates in the process of discovering the image and enjoying the revelation of beauty in unexpected places."

Jason Millard says "his ability to capture movement in his abstract carvings as well as his classical figurative work provides a wide range of styles in multiple mediums from bronze to stone."

Born in the Dominican Republic, Guillermo Casado followed his father into the arts.  He was known in Lama as a Mural artist, adding scenes and creative works to brighten up the village.  For this Carriage House exhibit, he has transferred his talent to canvas.

Casado  also studied theater , participating in several films as an actor.
