Art to Go: Art To Go is an outreach program
designed for elementary school students with an emphasis toward the fourth grade using art
concepts from the Utah State Curriculum Guide. This program has been very successful
and is in increasing demand by local school district. Art Center docents take original works of art into the classroom conducting a lively discussion with students. The artwork in each packet are from the Art Center's permanent collection. A lesson plan and suggested follow-up activities are provided to the teachers. We find that the students are particularly excited and eager to talk about the original works of art and that the students are very pleased to have individuals from the community show an interest in them and their school. |
