Awards Announced

The Eccles Community Art Center is pleased to announce the awards given in association with its 36th Annual Statewide Competition. This annual competition is open to all artists residing in Utah in all media except photography. Artists from throughout the state from Logan to Cedar City, and Vernal to Tooele were represented with a variety of three-dimensional and two-dimensional works such as sculpture, stained glass, leather, quilting, drawing, painting, ceramics and printmaking.

Artwork accepted is on display in the Art Center’s Main Gallery through August 28, 2010. The competition received 262 entries from 156 Utah artists. Jurors: Sara Lundberg and Larry Douglass from the Brigham City Museum chose 109 pieces for exhibition.

The Eccles Community Art Center would like to invite the public to view the art of the 36th Annual Statewide Competition Exhibit. The Art Center's regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Closed July 5th & July 24th in celebration of these holidays. The exhibit continues through August 28, 2010. Admission is free.
